Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
CBT, or Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, is a type of talk therapy that helps people deal with problems by changing the way they think and behave. It’s based on the idea that thoughts, feelings, and actions are all connected, so if you change one, you can change the others. CBT teaches practical skills to manage stress, handle tough situations, and shift unhelpful thinking patterns. It's commonly used for things like anxiety, depression, stress and low self-esteem.
It is the most widely used form of evidence-based psychotherapy in the NHS and used worldwide. Brief and time-limited, goal-focused and powerful. Genuinely life-changing therapy. Highly Recommended!

Adapted CBT for Diversity & Difference
Many people from marginalised groups experience stress that is tied directly to their identities. Standard CBT though effective, was developed for western neurotypical cultures and can therefore miss important context if not adapted.
Adapted CBT ensures therapy is culturally sensitive, relevant, and inclusive for individuals whose race, culture, gender, sexual identity, religion, or disability identities may be different.

Self-Esteem & Perfectionism
The way we relate to ourselves is often shaped by past experiences and these internal patterns influence how we navigate the present.
Statements like “I’m weak,” “I’m not good enough,” or “I’m broken” become internal messages we replay; quiet, destructive narratives that can leave us feeling drained, frustrated, and low.
True healing isn’t about simply having more willpower. It requires support, insight, and the courage to go beyond the surface to address challenges at their root.
This journey involves exploration, commitment, and meaningful work, but the results can be truly life-changing.
Those navigating neurodiversity, identity differences, or the transitions of (peri)menopause often find this work especially resonant and empowering.
If any of this resonates with you and you’d like to talk further, please don’t hesitate to call or email to arrange a confidential discussion or book an initial assessment.
Stress-Related Anxiety
Stress-related anxiety is anxiety that develops or intensifies in response to stressful life events or ongoing pressure. Basically, it’s your mind and body reacting to stress in a way that becomes chronic, overwhelming, or hard to control. Common causes can be work or school pressure, financial problems, relationship issues, big life changes (moving, divorce, new baby, etc.), caregiver stress/burnout, chronic illness or pain. For neurodivergent individuals, additional sources may include masking, sensory overload, and challenges in social communication or being misunderstood.
If the impact of stress is effecting your life call or email to arrange a confidential discussion or book an initial assessment.
